Please be sure to avoid ALL of the following:

  • Increased sweating, sports, swimming, steam sauna, hot baths or jacuzzi, sun bathing, or salon tanning
  • Laser  or chemical treatments, facial peels, and/ or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycol Acid on the face or neck
  • Picking, peeling or scratching of the mirco pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
  • Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning IE: garage or basement cleaning or cleaning of any areas in or outside the home that contain airborne debris
  • Drinking alcohol in excess as it may lead to slow healing
  • Driving in open air vehicles IE: convertables, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
  • Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab or q-tip
  • Before showering apply a layer of post-care cream to protect your eyebrows from moisture. During the shower keep your face away from the shower head. Itching and flaking may appear during the first 7 days following the procedure, however, experience has shown that by following these aftercare instructions these symptoms may rapidly disappear.  Once completely healed, be sure to always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF30 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure without SPF may cause the color pigment to fade more rapidly.

Approximate Healing Outline for Microbladed Eyebrows

Your eyebrows will go through several healing stages, drying of the skin and possible flaking will take place approximately one week following your procedure, causing the pigment to lighten, at times even"disappear". Be patient, as the pigment will begin to reappear day by day. Please allow 28 days from the inital procedure for the true color to reveal. Microblading is a two step procedure, and a perfecting session is required. Proper aftercare is vital.

Day 1-2

Your eyebrows are approximately 20-40% darker, bolder and more solid than your healed result. Below the pigment, the skin is red and pigment has been deposited into the layer of skin containing dead skin cells; combined giving the appearance of a darker color. There may be minimal swelling but because typically the eyebrow does not retain much fluid, swelling will be limited. The top layers of the skin will begin to shed approx on day 3. Do not scratch, do not pick.

Day 3

Your eyebrows may begin to slightly itch and the pigment may appear somewhat raised. Resist scratching and/or picking.

Day 4-6

The skin is now rapidly exfoliating and will shed evenly if left alone. The color beneath the exfoliated skin will continue to appear light until the epidermis takes on its more transparent characteristics.

Day 30-40

The tattoo has now become part of the dermis.
